Yes. Pull the gas to line to the carb,pull the vacuum line from the other side of the carb and use a mity vac to pull a vacuum. If the hoses are in good shape,fuel valve is in the on or reserve position and verified not stopped up and you can 't get gas to flow, then it's a fuel pump problem even though you said you replaced one from another machine.If you do have fuel,then sounds like you need to check into the carb again.
