Polaris 325/330 crankshafts
Does anybody know of any aftermarket oversize rod bearing available for these cranks? Polaris only supplys a .05mm-.002in and .25mm-.010in. Is the .05mm standard replacement for a good used crank with out machining? Most cranks showing wear that i have seen is .010in or more.

You're right, by the time most folks notice a problem with a 325 or 330 crankshaft,a set of .010 over size rod bearings aren't enough to make up for the damage done. I don't know of anyone in particular that has larger rod bearing caps but talking to someone at a good machine shop can help possibly track some down. We had a good machinist that was a former motorcycle teacher at a local college near us do some of the work I couldn't do at the shop.I had him turn a slightly worn 325 crank that the owner caught in time when the oil line blew off at the engine and killed it shortly thereafter. This was before we had the updated oil line kits come in for the 325. Even with the .05 bearings I'd have a crank turned like I had because the crank isn't perfectly round. .002 doesn't sound like much, but it's a lot when you're talking about crankshafts and also cylinders that aren't perfectly round.Don't think I've ever measured a worn cylinder that had the same specs top to bottom.
