Start/stall when hot??
Posting for a friend...
Looking for help / info please:
My 2010 Sportsman 550 touring goes into a start / stall condition when ambient air temp. is high 80'+ once it starts everything is fine. When you shut it down when hot it will restart and run rough very rough and stall but ONLY when it is HOT if you feather the throttle for 7 - 10 sec. it will clear and run fine. I've tried MAP Sensor and TPS and yes it is Calibrated, any thoughts much appreciated.

Sounds like what a fuel pump, fuel filter or venting problem could do,but could also still can be a wiring short from the map sensor even though he may have replaced it along with the tps and has it calibrated correctly.Fuel pressure should hold 39psi with out any significant drop. If the pump is ruled out even when hot I'd still say sensor harness problem. http://www.otbpowersports.com/otb-powersports.htm has better connector and wiring harness kits than what Polaris offers if he hasn't tried this yet. If he has, then he might be better off having it hooked up to Digital Wrench. Sometimes a dealer is a necessary evil as some have said when it comes to efi machines.
