been looking around for a second atv and found a 96 425 Magnum .ad says it may need a tune up but runs good he has a price tag of 1200 on it.Does this seem 200-300 to high for a machine of that age that may need some work? 96 Polaris Magnum 425 4x4 4 stroke

 

Condition,condition.. KBB list around 1000 but condition means more than what the books say.If it's clean may be worth it. Keep in mind if it's not running good,may be needing more than a carb clean that the owner's suggesting plus other wear and tear items to be expected for any 20 year old machine. Also have to keep in mind that it falls in the year range of possible cam problems. Doesn't hurt to haggle,most people expect it and throw a little on top of what they really want.

 

Thanks OPT wasnt sure what years and size engine had the cam problems.
