grease a 300 explorer
#2
I also have a 98' 300 xplorer and I can think of 14. The one that I think is most overlooked is the one that they say does not need to be greased as often. It is the one on the handle bars just under the the black cover where the third headlight would be. My dealers mechanic said it is good for about 6 months, but I still put one squirt in when greasing the rest of the machine. If that is not the one you do not know about then let me know and I will get back with you.

I own a '96 and I will try to list the ones I have found in my time riding it. There is one in the middle of rear axle, one on each side of rear swingarm, one where the front of the middle chain meets the rear of the front chain bushing housing, one on the front of the front chain next to the shaft that goes to the left wheel(if sitting on machine), one on each shaft going to a front wheel, one on each lower A-arm, on top of each tie-rod by shock, one near the bottom of each shock on the inside, one under the black cover between the handlebars, and one lower on the steering shaft. I think there are 15 in all. Sorry this is so long, but this should tell you all you need to know.
