Default Polaris 500 efi 2008 sportsman

2008 sportsman, whenever I go to start it up I turn the key wait for the fuel pump to prime and it starts for a few seconds and then cuts out, 2nd time of starting it is normally ok, but now it has developed an intermittent fault. sometimes when you turn the key on there is nothing, no dash lights or anything and then after a few minutes when try again you turn the key the display lights up and it will start, any ideas would be appreciated, also it did a very strange thing the other day,, the engine was running then cut out and the bike was NOT running at all but the Rev counter was climbing up to 3000 revs and then down to 300 and then back up again but that engine wasn’t running it was just that rev counter still working, any help would be appreciated

Look at the fuse block under the front panel. Bad place for it to begin with and wires can corrode causing intermittent connections. You may have to pull it up to check deeper. If needed you can find Delphi fuse blocks on ebay or better ones that are sealed.https://www.ebay.com/itm/Delphi-ATO-...dVH9Ya&vxp=mtr
