Default Cleaning motor after blow head gasket.

Recently found out that my head gasket has blown on my 04 Polaris Sportsman 600. Antifreeze got into the oil and now it looks like chocolate milk. It even made it into the breather box. Im a shade tree mechanic and I don't have access to a shop. So what I'm asking is what are your thoughts on cleaning the inside of my motor? I have the head pulled and plan on soaking it in gas or kerosene along with the lifters. My neighbor suggested dumping a couple of quarts of kerosene in the motor and turning it over with the plug wires off to get at the parts not accessible. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Hunting season is coming up and I'm getting to lazy to walk.

Kerosene is usually my pick as well.
