97 xplorer 300 drive belt
I just recently bought a 97 xplorer 300. They said it got a new drive belt but at idle you can hear the belt randomly slapping on the cover. Does anyone now what this means? Wrong belt? Clutch out of adjustment? I don't know if it did this before the new belt but when I did the belt on my other Polaris it was nice and quiet. Thanks!

They might not have sanded all of the rubber off of the clutches and its catching. Wierd that it does this idling usually its a problem when coasting when the clutches are disengaged. Definitely check that belt and look at the clutch facings you dont want to see any black on them take a little 220 sand paper and shine them up if they are blackened. I always take mine off pull them apart and scotch brite them
