Default Polaris Xplorer 250 electrical issue.. Help!

Hi, I'm new to this forum... and am looking for thoughts on an electrical problem I'm having with my 2000 Polaris Xplorer 250. Electrical issue, either all electric works fine, or else nothing. Fusible link clicks and cuts off all power randomly. I can still run the atv when the power is out... and can even start it when power is off (just turn the key to the on position and pull start). Curious if others have had this problem... and can offer assistance. Thanks! Jim

start with all the main connections to make sure good contact and no corrosion. from battery up. di-eclectic grease wouldn't hurt on the connections as well.
