AC500 AUTO vs. SP500

Alright bush. You and your great Sportsman 335 get on here and gripe and complain about Bill throwing all your wet dreams back in your face about how reliable Polaris is. Then you go and say make that little remark about some people need to learn how to ride. Well let me tell you something about how great it really is. I have an uncle that ownes a 97 Sportsman 400(without EBS) and I have wrecked it once and have flipped it numerous times. This is not because I'm a bad driver because I have been driving quads since I was 5. I have ridden a 500 one time and really enjoyed the ride. It had all the qualities that you could want: speed, suspension, steering, and felt like it had some power behind it, but come on. A 335 with the same body and a smaller engine. Oh yea and lets not forget those monster tires that come on it. Now on to the Cat. I own a 98 AC 454, but I'm not much on automatic transmissions so i'm not swayed either way, but this is a first year model. You have to wait for the bugs to get worked out of these things before they are going to really compete with the 500.

I don't get it. Why do you folks think a 335 is so underpowered? My cousin bought a Sportsman 500 right when I did, he brought his over, and we switched quads a few times while riding. I could hang with him on the trails, hillclimbs, and mud, and on a straightaway, until I reached about 56mph,the 500 then led by a few mph's. But that's about all. So come on, give the 335 its dues.

Happy Happy!! Joy Joy!! Happy Happy!! Joy Joy!! If you are happy, then good. Thats all that matters. Most people aren't happy with their quad no matter what they get. They are always searching for the Perfect Quad (which doesn't exist). I know I am still looking for it (Like Ponce de Leon for the fountain of youth), but for now, I have the best for me.

Ok Bush, you don't understand why everyone thinks it's underpowered. Well let me think on this one. "oh I got it". It's carrying around a 500 frame and its only like 30 lbs lighter than a 500. I'm going by what I think and can see on the statistics. You own it so I guess you would know, but(oh yes there is a but to this) I don't believe that that thing went 56 and just lost a few secs. on the 500. The 500 is one of the fastest utility ATV's on the market.
