is this normal to start a 2 stroke motor and let it idle for 10 minutes and then when i go to pull out it runs like its missing and i kick it a few times and it clears up and runs fine.it has 250 miles on it.also i noticed that the fan doesnt run as much on this 400 explorer than it did on my 99 sp 500.

Yes, normal. That is what is called 'loading up' and just takes a little throttle to clear out.
As for the fan not kicking in much, I almost have to try to get mine to kick on. My brother has an Xpress, and it almost startles him when his fan kicks on, it happens so seldom.

I agree about the fan not running on an Xpress. The guy's I ride with all have 400's. When ever we stop there fan's are running like crazy but my fan never turn's on and I went through everything that they just rode through.
