Clutch issue. Anyone buy the aftermarket ones on eBay?

Went with the aftermarket clutch. Took off and cleaned the heck out of secondary. It likes the old Polaris belt over the deco.

I greased rear end splines and re installed rear diff.

Machine seems very happy now.

Would you boys worry about that missing spline tooth on the diff?

i could retire it to light duty but it seems fine.

I would run it the way it is now. If you aren't noticing the missing chunk It is only going to make a slight difference reliability wise. It is designed as a heavy work quad. Worth keeping in my mind if you don't mind the stiff ride. Only thing other than that I didn't like about one my son had was the small gas tank. We used to carry extra fuel even on short rides as the 3.5 or so gallon tank runs out pretty fast. The key to keeping the belt healthy is using low range doing any slow work like rock crawling, going through deep snow or snowplowing, and mudding. If you are at trail speeds over 15 mph or more you can shift it to high and it won't wear the belt. The cooling fins cool the belt better in low range simply because they are moving faster at more RPM's in low.

Update. Machine has been shifting nicely and running well. Back doing yard work at camp. I have been using low around property more often than I used to and that's all good. Still tears up the road in high too. Brake job probably next on list.
