I have a 2000 Polaris Explorer of a friends. It won't idle unless the adjustment is screwed almost all the way in which is fairly high rpm. He said it was working ok, but has not had it that long. The starter failed, so he quit riding it until he brought it to me.Starter is shot, but I can pull start it. Cleaned the carb, not really dirty, changed fuel filter to a Polaris one. Just won't idle down w/o dying. Dies if you try to put it in gear. Doesn't smoke at all, so I was wondering about the oil injection system. I don't have a manual, so that doesn't help. Looking for suggestions.

 

Get a service manual, then there will be no guessing
