Does anyone know where to obtain a 3-point hitch assembly at a reasonable price to fit a '98 Sportsman 500? Last time I checked at my local dealer they wanted almost $1,100 for one which I thought was outrageously expensive.

If you do put a 3-point on it you’ll likely need the firm rear springs for it. I have a pair with only 100 miles on them I’d make you a deal on.

Thanks for the offer but I don't need them. I installed the stiffer springs right when I bought my machine brand new. I'm a big guy and wanted to be sure I had a firmer ride than stock. I have all four stock springs that are unused but I am thinking about using them for something else.

I thought I'd add this qustion to this message thread:

Has anyone ever used a 3-point hitch assembly on a Soportsman 500?

I found a retailer that will sell me a 3-point set-up for $650 plus another $200 for a draw bar (or something like that) which goes with it.

I've never seen one of these Sportsman 3-points in person and wonder how they work. I have about a half-acre of grassy area I'd like to till to plant something on. After that I'm sure I could use the 3-point in other jobs or to do other people's properties.

Does anyone have a used 3-point set-up for sale?
