I paid 15.00 for my new boot and 20.00 for a set of pliers at a local auto parts store. They use the Oiteker type pliers part number 3374 in the Lyle brand.

I added a second battery to my xplorer. I also have a warn 2500lb winch. I kept draining my stock battery and also needed something to run my cd player and speakers. The car battery works awesome. I don't have it running to my alternator, only to the winch and radio. I just make sure it's charged before i ride and without charging i can run my radio for about 12 hours before it goes dead. Now with the winch, i used it to run it when i broke my chain and prop shaft. I was winching from tree to tree for approximately 100 yards and never ran down the battery. I didn't pay attention to the winch being hot. It started to smoke and metal shavings came out and that was it. You definitely have to make sure if it gets hot, let it cool. I am running a 1000 cranking amp battery. I just use the stock battery for my lights and starter.
