I bought my sportsman in the summer of 99. My friend bought his kvf 400 in the spring of 99. I have never been able to take him on the bottom end he always pulls away from me and i don't even begin to start catching him till i'm at 30 mph. The funny thing is that my sporstsmens low gear and his are about the same. I know other sportsman that beat kvf's on the low end no problem. I also have the wheelie problem it doesn't like to stand up and it's been that way since it was new. I now have about 4500 miles on it and the kvf is in the graveyard and mine is still going. The only thing that needs replaced is the outer tierod ends and the front and rearbrakes. I was wondering if anyone else had a similar problem and if they did what did they do. WE both had k&n airfilters and factory tires.
Thanks in advance
