Sometimes when trying to start the Xplorer it just clicks and if I keep on pressing and releasing the start button the starter will then turn over and start the machine. I am wondering what could be wrong, bad connection, bad solenoid or starter. I wouldn't think starter or battery as when the starter does spin it is fast and starts right up.

 

check your connections on the solenoid and to the starter. usually, a sign of not enough power from corroded or maybe bad connection not letting enough power cleanly through or a sign of future part needing replacing. imo
