Another Polaris Phoenix 200 no spark...
#1
This is on a 2017 Phoenix 200. It seems I have looked at 100 threads on this topic and either the solution was found and not reported back, or I followed what was suggested and it did not work for me. I have the service manual and everything checks out, except for the Pulse Coil Output, which is probably my problem. I am using the Snap-On EEDM596F which has a Peak Hold Function, maybe I am not doing it right though. I get nothing out of the test. I do have a new Polaris CDI, new aftermarket stator from a company I have used many times before without issues, spark plug, and aftermarket ignition coil. The OEM coil tests fine, but thought I would try it anyway. I am getting all the right values except for the pulse test. After looking at this thing for hours, today I got spark after pulling on the right-hand brake and thought I had it. I put the plug in, and it didn't start, pulled it back out and there was no spark. Not sure why it all of the sudden came back and left though. My only thought at this point is the pick-up coil is not close enough to the flywheel and is not getting the signal to fire, but there is no adjustability to it, nor can I measure the distance because the pickup is connected to the cover. I have traced all the wires; everything seems to be going to the right place, and I haven't noticed any open grounds where there shouldn't be. Any ideas?
