freind of mine is looking at an 97 (i think) sp500. He wants to know if the EBS can be purchased from the dealer and installed on this machine.

 

Yep, I installed EBS on my 97 Sportsman 500, it cost $299 when I did it, it was a very big improvement!

myscrambler: did you install it yourself. if you did, was it very difficult? I consider myself a decent shadetree mechanic and I'd like do it myself if it's possible.

 

I didn't install it myself, I paid too much for the dealer to do it. I would do it myself now after the experience I have gained messing around with my scrambler alot. You might want to check and see if you need any special tools before you get started.
