I have just purchased a 2001 500 HO Sportsman. Has anybody disconected the overide switches on these yet and if so coud you please tell me how?

The 2nd thing i'm wondering about is it posible to rewire the allwheel drive so that you have it right now instead of having to spin your rear wheels.

hi guy! most people just unplug the override switch, but as for the all wheel drive there is no way to wire it up to engage all of the time be cause the 4x4 system is not engaged through the diff,it's engaged at the hubs with magnets witch will lock in when the drive line is going faster than the front wheels,it only takes 1/5 of a rotation of the back wheels to make the 4x4 to engage, but you won't even feel it. there are some others that might be able to explain it better than what i did.but i hope this helps.
