Scored Piston After 10 Hours Of Use

I second that the polaris is a touchy creature and is a major money pit. I had my new wiseco piston and rings in my bike for less than 3 hours and it was so scored that you couln't start it (35psi). Unlike your break in, mine was casued by the head gasket when it let go it dumped all of that anti-freeze into the cylinder and it got too hot and scored the intake and exhaust of the piston. Luckily I know people and got a new piston and bore for around $70.00. I had just about given up on the polaris but I have just gotten it where I want it, it now has the power that it needs and gives me just enough ride time to keep putting more and more into it to keep me riding. If I had known that I was going to have this much problem with it I would have bought a 4-stroke.
