Bluechild,

I put you at 16. I know, and everyone here knows, that you haven't crossed paths with a serious Polaris. They ain't at the track, but they OWN the trails.

I met a blaster for the first time about 2 weeks ago. The guy was very "Yamaha-loyal" when he showed up...but he left as just another Polaris convert. The Scrambler has no match on the rough trails for speed.

I was into racing moto cross and snomobiles back in the '70s. (So I have experienced both clutching types for 30 years)

Shifting takes away from your concentration, and it forces you to keep your shift-side leg at an angle that allows the foot / ankle to bang up or down quickly. That doesn't always mean the right position for going fast.

On my Scrambler, I am standing, sitting, leaning, positioning my whole body at any position I need to go fast. Shifting makes no sense at all if you want to fly around on the trails.

The first time that you ride a serious Polaris, you are going to say...

"WOW! I can't believe how that thing flys!!! I love it!"

Just like all these folks are telling you.

There are fat & skinny, short & tall people some walk slow & some walk fast. Some drive Fords & some drive Chevy, people with a size 12 shoe do not walk good in a size 11. So whats the Beef! I have 1 Ford 1 Chevy 1 Yamaha 2 Polaris 1 Ski Doo 1 Honda 1 wife 1 daughter 1 house & I dont think I better faster or smarter than anyone reading this post. But for now it all works together for some good times and a great life. Life is short no matter how long we all live!! lets laugh a little and enjoy the gifts of this thing we call life!! Codeman-I was meaning to reply to your 12/18/99 post but was side tracked by the mud throwing contest. Anyway thanks for your comment, I bought the 325 Trailboss for my daughter knowing big power was low on list. I will keep you posted on rode results. Powderhound (Rod)

I gotta step in here... This is the biggest load of crap to come down the pipe in a long time. This Bluemaster guy has been registered
since Dec 15 I believe it is. He ha thus far posted 5 times. Here is what I have found:

"Polaris people post more than anyone else because they are debating about how polaris is better than everyone else and because their quads are always broken they can't go ride them they just go post dumb polaris stuff.
2000 Yamaha Blaster"

Wow...What a moron.. shall we proceed...

"I have a Blaster and I am not going to tell you to get it because it is up to you to decided. If you want quick snappy power I would go with the Blaster if you want a great reliable four stroke with reverse I would go with the 300EX. You would have to ride both to see what you want. Either way the are both
excellent machines."

Wow....Something semi-intelligent!

This guy has potential. I think he just hates Polaris quads and their owners 'cause he keeps getting his a$$ kicked on his Yamadog.
As you can also read from his previous posts to this topic, he has got to go.
Stick a sock in it Bluemaster. Can it, go back to the Yamaha page if you must continue to behave that way. You are welcome here when you can treat us all equally. We are all fighting the same battle to keep quading free.

Blue (he needed the money!),
I would race you but I'm not driving more than 1 hour. It would be a waste of my time & your quad. Two of my friends had Blasters. Yes they are a fun, zippy quad. But way too small & way too... hmmm... simple I guess. Everything on them is so cheap. Which I guess explains the $2999 price tag. Of course we paid $2995 for the TB & it's alot more quad than a Blaster. When I said 5 speed I didn't mean you in perticular. Notice it said "All fools" not just you. Don't even compare a Chevy truck to my IH. ( IH, everything else is just a car) or compare to a John Deere tractor or Navistar truck. It's hardly in the same league. In fact I doubt you could even push the clutch to the floor in my old Mustang
Blue where do you live? If it's too far from me maybe one of these other Polaris guys could spank your Blaster with their overweight, automatic, slow, grandma quad???
Any takers that want to do my dirty work?
This guy really needs stomped by an auto.

Blue,
I'm sorry I can't humor you. Even though I live in Ohio, I'm on the west side. It's just too far for me drive.
