The front right shaft on my 335 some how got knocked out of the hub and I can't get it back in. The shaft and hub seem to be alright but I still can't get the shaft back in. It goes in until it gets to the indention in the shaft where a clamp type spring is. Could that be the problem? I'm not taking it to the dealer unless I have to.
Have any ideas?

Bushhog, If the shaft is like that on my Scrambler, which I am pretty sure it is, remove your lower a-arm nut and swing out the strut and hub assembly. Then just push the shaft in until it pops in. Trust me it will stay in. I have replaced cv boots the hard way, and have done this many times. It is easier to push in on the hub assembly to pop the retaining washer on the shaft into place.

Thank you very much. That thing is tough to get in though.

Could it run okay without the washer?

I wouldn't want to try. I have a friend who had the boot tear and pop the half shaft out when he hit a bunch of sticks. One stick, rather large, pushed up under the a-arm and did the damage. The half-shaft popped out with the rubber retaining ring on, we simply popped it back in and continued on. Replaced the boot later. If it came out with the retaining washer on, it will come out easier without it.
