Flooded after ATV is hot
#1
I'm haveing a problem with my 325. If I ride it for over an hour (getting the engine hot)...when i shut if off and start it 10 to 20 minutes later it's loaded up with fuel and misses till it burns the excess fuel. The hotter the tempature out the worse the problem is.
I had the dealer look at it...they hadn't heard of this problem before. They replaced the needle and seat in the carb and adjusted the floats. Which did NOT correct the problem.
They called Polaris and they said they hadn't heard of this problem either.
I don't think it's a float or carb problem because I can take shot ride (30 minutes) and never have a problem. And I can leave the gas turned on for weeks without a problem.
I think the problem is due to heat causing pressure.
Anyone else have this problem?
Any info or help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the replies....
The vent hose is open.
It doesn't appear the tank is building pressure...at least not alot because I can open the cap and not hear air being forced out or sucked in.
I always have a gas smell when the atv is hot.
Thanks again.
