Just wondering if you guys had any ideas on what motor i should try to use in a quad frame. whould like to use a polaris motor and tranny in a 400L frame.

 

Hot Seat is working on it right now. They hope to havea proto by next summer. There are some problems, but the biggest is getting the enclosed pvt to fit onto the engine right now. Weve looked at it and the shafts are different diameter to start with. Sleds don't have to worry about enclosing the tranny.

Just talked to a guy today thats having a twin Ski-doo motor installed in his banshee,sounds like quite a deal cutting and welding.Will be 182 horses when done.

I would think the best bet is going with a healthy polaris indy sled motor but i have no idea if it will fit.

 

I believe the Dec edition of Dirt Wheels or ATV Action has a picture of a Scrambler or a Sport with a snow mobile engine crammed in it. Looked pretty cool. Apparently it is possible. I'll look tonight and get the details.
