Problem on a HO

My friend found a clear rubber hose hanging over his pull start case that is leaking gas[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img] from what he can tell the hose runs to his fuel pump or a big black tube [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img] that runs by gas tank the gas is pourin on his metal pull start case which gets very hot and it has a inline filter on it too and it only pours when the engine is runninhe is afraid its gonna catch on fire what the **** is wrong with his quad and dont tell him its because its polaris he dont wanna hear it

Is it an overflow tube on the carb? If it goes to the carb then the float is probably stuck. Just tap on the side of the carb and it might free it up. Otherwise you will have to take it apart because it has something in there. Good luck.
