The SP335 is the fastest, better hillclimber because it can spin the tires faster and hasmore power. I guess the suzuki has a better 4 wheel drive system ( 2WD/4WD/4WDLOCK ). The SP335 has a better suspension. By the way, why not compare it to the Kingquad ? I would personnaly choose the kingquad for my ridding condition...

the SP335 is really a joke its a 500 class machine with a 335 engine not really a good plan in my opinion
the suzuki 250 is a nice machine for its size
but the king quad is probubly a better idea
if you are looking in that class i think the arctic cat 300 4x4 is probubly the best choice it has better brakes then the suzuki and a much nicer layout along with better suspension deffinatly one of the best quad values going the also soon to be discontinued honda 300 is a top performer (for its class) and the new recons are fairly nice but the sp335 is the only one with the auto trans
well good luck to you

A-TEAM brings up a good point. The 335 is going to be faster, but then you have the diff. lock on the Suzuki. Now on a 250 you are going to be able to squeeze through many more places than the 335 seeing as it is carrying around the 500's frame. That takes away from a lot of the 335's power. If they made a smaller frame specially designed for it. It would be a whole nother story. Before considering buying one of these bikes you might want to weigh the pros and cons.

Wait Kodiak he must also consider the Rancher in his decision too. After all it is in that class. Also if you are any bit interested in sport/utility you might check out the Yamaha Wolverine. I hear it is a pretty good bike.

The wolverine is great but around here it's only about $200 less than a 500 SP. The 335 was intended for people that don't need the speed and power of the 500 (my opinion). My son is only 4, but when he's old enouph to ride he'll start on something slow and big like a 335. I think the 335 is just right for people starting out in ATV'ing. It's not going to scare you with it's speed, but it can pull and dig pretty good.

I agree the Wolverine is a little overpriced, but I was just giving him another option so he didn't go into this thing and end up with something he didn't want. Have you ridden any bikes yet to really know which bike you are leaning more towards? Or Just looking on paper right now? Remember you have a lot of choices in that class of bikes and most are about the same.

Polaris- You have a great ride and a fair amount of speed in the 335

Suzuki- The 250 is going to be smaller and more manueverable. Also the diff. lock.

Honda- You have your reliability. Not as fast a the 335 or Wolverine.

Yamaha- Many bikes to choose from in this class. The Wolverine is going to have a descent ride and will get up and go.

Just a few things to look at before buying.

Yeah, if i were you i would seriously look into some Honda's. i'm not just saying that because i love Honda's, it's just that the Honda's are sweet. The 300 4x4 is a good machine, reliable, strong engine, and it can take a hell of a beating! The Rancher is sweet with the ES program and it has some serious low end NUTS! But overall, whichever you decide to buy, I would suggest that you stay away from the auto tranny belt drive. I have ridden and tested many models and the belt drive seemed to be the stupidest invention ever on a quad. Bye.
