Farmer 123,

Yes my brother and I are going for the Sportsman HO (green) . It is quick, and the ride IS the smoothest out there for @ $1K more than the Xplorer. The HO performs as well as an Xplorer so I am not giving up performance and I am gainng ride quality, speedometer, and resale value (not to mention shafts). My neighbor has one and he has 1,275 trouble free miles which he rides the HELL out of it. $6475 out the door with a winch and in my truck seems to be a fair deal. With all the new EPA grabadge coming down the pike I feel the four stroke is best for me.

The way these 4x4s climb compared to my 1993 2x4 I may have to start wearing a helmet.

I found Comstock on the map. Do you Pheasant hunt? I work for an airline and can travel inexpensively and was wondering if you ever wanted a guest for bird hunting. We do not have pheasants in Southeast Texas and I have heard the pheasants are great up there.

To the person who asked about polaris coming out with a new quad. I live 15 miles from the polaris plant and i have lots of family members who work there. Yes polaris is testing a new quad right now.

I know lots more but that is all i can tell you about it.

I am telling the honest truth if you dont belive me thats fine but it is the truth.

thanks

Weedy, we have had a few hailstorms tha last few years during nesting season, so our pheasant numbers are down. This year they are finally getting to where you can find them, so we don't really encourage hunting them yet. What we do have here, though is TURKEYS. They were introduced some years back and are almost getting to the point of becoming a nuiscance. You can look up the Nebraska Game & Parks commission as to when season is (there is an early, late, shotgun, bow, blackpowder) and if you find that interesting, I think we can work something out. Just don't shoot a cow!!! LOL

We have some land of our own and have no problem with turkey hunters as long as they respect us & our land (don't dig ruts, shut gates, etc.)

Weedy,

You may be able to get an even better deal. The new 2002 Sportsman is now out and in inventory. I saw them yesterday. Bold new graphics and other minor changes 500 CC. in the HO Sportsman. In our area this usually brings the price of the previous year models down to $5899. BTW it had a 6/05/01 production date on it.

No comparison in a drag race between a HO Sportsman,Magnum, and Xplorer.I have raced HO's and beat them pretty good, especially after 40mph with my slightly modded Xplorer.Top end is not as fast on the HO's either.I sure wish the Xplorer were a complete shaft drive unit though,

PSI pipe w/Scrambler silencer
Delta V-Force reeds/spacer kit

The drag race was not that far. We only raced to around 35 mph.

Thor

What are the changes for 2002? I saw the new graphics and I do not like the looks of them compared to the 2001.
