bubba 1005,
The part number you're looking for is 7041868-067. These are the springs for the 2000 model Sport. Believe it or not, Polaris has three different springs for the Sport, Scrambler 400 and the Scrambler 500. I imagine that the 500 Scrambler is the stiffest, while the 400 Sport's is the lightest. They go for under 50 bucks a pair.
The reason the struts aren't compressing fully, is because of the fact that the Fox struts have compression dampening on them while the stock struts don't. If you were to put the old stock struts back on, you'd be bottoming them left and right. The Fox struts prevent this by using compression dampening.

Well I broke down and ordered the hot seat dual rate spring kit. $165 wow this is starting to get expensive all these mods to get my bike how I want it. When I ordered it he told me they would be softer than the stockers but get progressivly harder. Does anyone have these on their bike? Is this true or did I fall for a sales pitch?
