My brother inlaw and I have 2 of these 300 Explorers we got last fall and we are each having a problem. On his the right front wheel will not kick into 4 wheel drive all the time, only when it wants to! On mine, the plug is oily black, dealer turned oil pump down, Has anyone run a little hotter plug or a different make? It has a Champion in it now. Thanks in advance. Pete

In my experience the Explorer 300 has been a fairly reliable quad. I was riding with a pal, when he rolled his explorer 300, it flew 100 feet crashing into trees and snapping the racks, When we got down there it started right up, and only the racks were broke. The air-cooled 2-stroke engine isn't a great idea in my mind though.
