I was riding in the snow, going up some pretty steep hills, stopping, and continuing up (had two warriors up front that were always getting stuck), putting some nasty abuse on the belt, when all of a sudden the clutches seemed to blow up. I slammed the brakes and turned off the quad. When I went to check, I found part of the belt outside the plastic case, but the case was perfect. I haven't taken off the cover yet, but I'm hoping it's only the belt. It idles perfect, but when accelerated, even in neutral, it seems to tear the cover. My only problem is that I don't know the belt number for an EBS quad. I'd rather get the Dayce top cog belt, if possible. If anybody could get me the belt number, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I.ve never had to change belt on quad, but think it's probilley same as snowmobile clutch. If it is there are three small screws that hold that little plate on side.Take one of them out should be 3/8,then use 2inch bolt threded back in there the farther you go the cluth will open up and "wala" you don't have any trouble with sheves as bolt holds cluth open while you remove old belt and put on new.Just remove long bolt and replace short one and your on your way.

Chickenman, I don't know how the EBS clutch systems work, but on the normal Polaris Variable Transmissions, you don't need to take the clutches apart to get the belt on, just slide it on.

Chickenman; Roosters right about that ,on the Quads you just roll the old one off and then roll the new one on. nothing to it.

Stocker, I seldom address posters personally; however, I regret whatever you've been denied in your formative period, inducing your pathological, disruptive, provocative posts.

Stocker, the ATV Connection Forum is not a chat room for pre-pubescent, "naughty" children.

Instead, the Forum is a place to exchange information, ideas, and experience about ATV's. If you reject this opportunity, I'd prefer you go somewhere else for your perverse pleasure of posting insulting, negative messages.

Back to Aniel question ,when you buy your new belt do not buy another stock belt get the best most exspensive Dayco belt thay sell
because unlike a snowmachine changing the belt is a drag.Dayco belts are meant for 100+ hp snowmachine and will last longer on any quad.
