I went to a dealer close to my house and saw one. It's still the same ole beast just some different crap on it like decals and plastic. Still same crappy frame and heavy piece of u know what. It did have nice brake lines on it though!

Not only is that a 4-stroke engine in that bike, but it isn't even a 4wd. You can tell by looking at the front hubs. I suspect that thing is a doctored pic because something isn't right. Having 4x4 wrote on the side and being a 2wd doesn't add up, regardless of whether it is 2 or 4-stroke.

If you look real close, it is as if the motor is not even in it.
In the place you should see some of the jug or at least the exhaust pipe, its as if you are looking right through empty space and seeing the other side.
To me it looks like there is no motor in it.
Odly enough overflow can does have coolant, just no motor to cool.

Either way I have to say that the graphics look kinda catchy. Not too bad. The Sportsman X isn't that bad looking either, besides the yellow on the seat...don't care for that too much.
So it's a 400 4-stroke? What are they thinking?

If that thing is for real, its a sad day indeed.
Polaris must not be thinking with their little Polaris any more.
Nope, they might go to the other side.
The limp dick Politically Correct side.
My, god, if that is the panzy 400 sportsman motor in there YYUUKK!!!!!!

Looking at the picture it is a 4 stroke 2wd. There are no stickers on it that say 4x4 just a big x and 400. I think they just forgot what they were typing when they put the title on the picture. Unfortunately I think the days of the 2-stroke 4x4 are gone.

Mega Crash,
I'm with you! What kind of idiots would put a smaller motor in the same sized frame? Why, Polaris would of course. What do you think the Magnum 325s are? I think I'll hold out for a real dog, like the Scrambler 335 or 325 X. These morons wouldn't know a high performance quad if it bit them in the a$$.
I guess we can label Mike Trihey as the idiot of the year. He is the head imbecile in charge of ATV testing and development at Polaris. This guy must do less in a year than I do (and I'm a state worker). He is the "genius" who brought us quads like the Sportsman 335, the Diesel Sportsman, the 1997 Scrambler 500 N.O. (No Output) and the (only) 800 1998 Scrambler H.O.s ( they didn't think they would sell). Now he brings us another flop, THE SCRAMBLER 400 (four stroke) X. Wow dude, you must have really wracked your brain coming up with that one.
As far as Polaris coming out with a "high performance" quad, I have one thing to say. FORGETABOUTIT!
