i need 25 x 8's on the front of my scrambler,
what rims?
i xcant find a 10 inch high rim to suite those needs,
and the narrowest 11 and 12 inch rims i can find are 7 inches,
ive been told that a 6 inch wide rim is a close call as for brake clearance ect.
what rim can i get?
what tire?
i need somthing thats good gripping and handleing like dirt devils
black water,
589's,
sur tracks,
489 xt's

ect.

i need 25's because i have 25's on the back and i want to balance out the gear ratio a little better then 25:23 which it is now,
i want steel rims because aluminum cracks

kukerdan, Let me try to give you a little help, First off you cant use 4 of the same hieght tire on a 4x4, The front wheels engage when it senses the rear is losing a certain percentage of traction, If you increase the fronts to 25" you can only run a 24" rear, As you know the stock set up is 23" in front and 22" in rear so you have to increase in those increments with only 1" seperating the front and rear, Your best bet is to stay with the stock size, This will put a lot less stress and added wieght which will rob some power from your machine, The wieght gain alone from adding the dirt devils to mine in stock size is around 17lbs, The offsetting factor though is using aluminum rims, The Douglas 160 black labels which I run are about half the wieght of steel and a hell of alot stronger, The aluminum will flex to a point, When and if they do bend they are fairly easy to work back into place, I have had only one lip bend in over 2 years and a brass punch and hammer and about 20 minutes almost made it disappear. Steel rims bend very easy and I have wasted a few over the years,You are probably leary of the aluminum ones due to the crappy ones Polaris put on all of the scrams, Believe me the douglas and ITP versions are bullet proof compared to those,You might want to call Rocky mountain atv and price some Dirt Devil packages already mounted on 160's or 190's

i dont have a choice in the matter of tire size,
the guy i bought it from kept the stock tires in front,
and for some reason put 25 inch realters on the rear,
i have a long term plan, replace the fronts to 25 inch,
then once the realters are dead put on 24's
i dont have the money right now to do that

25's on the front and back should not hurt anything. I've been running 22's on the front and back of my Scrambler for a long time with no problems. There is some flexibility in the AWD system as far as tire sizes go, but I wouldn't get too far off.

yeah,
it seems to work al right as it is now with 23's up there,
but i only use it when i need to, like going up a gravel pile, or backing out of a rut.
i notice it has 10 inch rims all around,
12's in the front might be bad looking,
what about 7 inch wide rims?
two tires i want....
for handleing, ride quality, and good traction,
dirt devils, or bearclaws,
the only size i can use on the devils is 25 x 8 x 12
the bearclaws have that and a 25 x 8 x 11 which is a smaller rim, bewtween the two , it wont look much different then the original,
i was wondering if i get black and chrome, if i painted the rear ugly white rims black would it look good?
i was looking at the modular steel ITP rims,
whats bettwe for rough terrain, .190 aluminum, or steel,
aluminum cracks doesnt it?

It seems to me that low end power would suffer as well as tire to fender clearance, just my $.02.
