Has anyone ever tried running alcohol in their Polaris? I was talking to a guy today and he made it sound like it was no big deal to change your carb over to run alcohol. Then it is just a matter of buying the alcohol to run it. If it really is as easy as he said and the parts I need are about $25, I just might try it. I was just wondering if anyone here had any info they could share to help me make up my mind if I really should try this.

I love alcohol, but I don't drink it! Alky is great for racing, but sucks for trail riding. Alcohol runs very cool and is very reliable.
The problem is it's cooling effect on the engine. If you don't keep your engine revved out and warm; it will just blubber constantly. You will have at least half the fuel mileage that you have now and use twice as much oil. A nitrous system would probably suit you better, but will be around $700.00. Good Luck!
