I have a 99 Scrambler 500 and need to adjust the idle. I can adjust it where the 2 cables tie together just below the the throttle but it is either to high or dies. Is there another spot to adjust it?

Thanks
Scott

there is a adjustment at the carb, look for a big thumbscrew pointing down should be easy to find. By adjusting the cable you will mess up the e.t.c. switch adjustment. ETC=electronic throttle control, if you make the cable to loose and it cuts the spark.

That cable is broken on my carb and I have adjusted that part in as far as it would go anyway. I think I have figured out the problem, it wasn't actually the idle adjustment it was the air fuel screw.

Thanks
Scott
