what is a fair price for a good used 2000 trailblazer?

The wife wants a trailblazer come next spring. I have been looking around trying to get an idea of what they are going for. I cant balive what some people are asking for the used ones. I found a dealer that has a new 2001 that he will sell for $3029, but i do not want it now. I went 15 miles down the road to the next dealer and he had one new and one used trailblazer. He wanted $3700 for the 2001 and $2700 for the used one. The used one had a bent rear swing arm and was otherwise in average condition. He said that it was fine to ride the way it was. I abought started laghing. The rear axle was a full two inches off to the side. If anyone ever winds up in spirit lake iowa dont buy a machine from them. They are a true ripp off.

I bought a new 2000 in the summer of 99 for $2899, I kept it for about 6 months and sold it for $2600, I have seen alot of TB's advertised locally from $1900 - $2500 for 99's thru 00's, As far as new I wouldnt pay more than $3000, My local cycle trader is flooded with new ones from dealers for 3 plus tax

I just paid $2000 for a used 2000 model with 555 miles on it. It came with a factory speedo, gas gauge, rock guard, rear rack w/ Polaris rear gear bag and is in great condition. I got it for the wife though personally I like the 250EX if I was buying a new one !!
