Hey Guys,
I got a very minor problem, my rear brakes are dragging on my 1998 Scrambler 500. I just put new pads and rotor on today. Is it normal to have the brakes dragging after installing new ones? Will it go away? Or can I adjust them some how?

Any info appreciated.

OffRder15,

How much is it binding? Can you move the machine? There is supposed to be a little drag in the brakes. If you have drag only in one part the rotor is probably warped and will need to be replaced.

Yes the quad moves, but when I pushed it forward, it was harder than usual for sure. I could hear the pads draggin too. I'm goin ridin tomorrow (Sunday), so if it doesn't wear off, I guess I'll have "GEBS" for a day. (Ghetto Engine Braking System)

Thanxs
