It has to be the ugliest looking wheeler ever made! How much is Honda going to be asking for this gem? The Rubicon has a MSRP of $6999, so I'm guessing at least a grand if not more. Sorry, but anything more than $7,000 is too much to spend on a play toy. Besides all the Honda dealers I've ever talked want the MSRP value even on the left over models.

My response to the same topic in the Honda forum..
WOW... I really like the looks. I don't care for the name. What is a Rincon?
I hate to be negative but watch all the anti Honda people say:
1) It’s about time that Honda made a IRS quad. Still won't ride as nice as my???
2) I wouldn’t buy it! It has front drum brakes.
3) 650cc single... That's outdated. Should have been a twin.
4) It doesn't really have 10.7" of GC
5) Puny tires....
6) It'll probally be $8500.00. $12,000 in Canada.
7) What no 2/4WD switch.
Blah Blah Blah.
I for one can't wait to see it in person.
In addition: what's the deal with the Anti Drum brake issue? I have never had a problem in 12 years of owning Honda quads, especially the brakes. I frequently ride in water, mud and sand and if I pull the lever and I stop. then I'm happy.

Far as I can tell, the "Rincon's" are a mountain range in Arizona.
I love the looks of this thing. Has that "Starfighter" kinda quality. But I worry about all that plastic up front. I have a tendency to ride THROUGH things which doesn't seem to harm my cat.
But I bet HiOfcer is right and that thing will cost a mint!
BTW, where do you ride, HiOfcer? You're not far from me and I'd like to know some more riding places close to the cities.

2003 FourTrax Rincon
Think of the FourTrax Rincon as an SUV that you sit on, not in. The all-new Rincon features a true automotive-style automatic transmission with a hydraulic torque converter to route power from a brawny liquid-cooled overhead-valve single-cylinder 650cc engine to drive three forward gears or one reverse. Add in Honda's TraxLok, which allows riders to shift between 2WD and 4WD, a torque-sensitive limited-slip front differential and four-wheel independent suspension, and you get the most sophisticated ATV in existence today. The FourTrax Rincon will be on sale at Honda dealers in Summer 2002.
Yes you can switch from 2 to 4 wheel drive and I think it looks great. Honda has another winner if its priced right
