I would guess the battery would be much too light to run a winch. I've never ever heard of a small quad with a winch before. A first for everything I guess.

Most hand winches would be below the weight limitations for the Sportsman 90's racks, and would be much easier on the electric ones. I know they're not as cool, but they would help you out of a tight spot if you get stuck in the mud. There are even a few you could "mount" on the front rack with a little inginuity (sp).

From what the dealers have told me, the Sportsman 90 is not even capable of running a light. Personally, I don't beleive this as the video that comes with it shows a light switch on the handlebars and I know other ATV's made by Aeon (The Sportsman 90's are made by Aeon, the plastic and frame comes from Polaris) have lighting.

Regardless, a light would draw WAY less current than a winch. The winch on my Cat is far to heavy for me to even consider putting on a Sportsman 90.

The Polaris 90 has a dedicated lighting coil with 20 watts of output. In addition, there is a separate charging coil that cannot sustain any load.

If you want real lights on the Polairs, you need the lighting coil out of the Kasea 90. It will fit right in and it produces 60-80 watts depending on which coil you happen to get.

A winch on a 90 is a joke. Come on guys. Keep the winch on dad's atv so junior can just ride.

You might to check out this ratchet winch Cabelas sells for $59. It's supposed to have a 900 pound pull. I've been thinking of getting one to carry on my Raptor for winter riding in the snow...

Good luck,
