Mike, I knew you installed one and I hoped you would tell (and you did) me what you did for jetting. I spoke with one of my best customers and an excellent carb tuner, and we believe my original instinct was correct - It is the oil. I appreciate the replys and the opinions guys.

Mike, by the way your the one that turned me on to the UFO and the reason I stock them. Thanks

When I install an EGT on a machine, I jet it by the plug to get the temps and then go by the EGT after that. I installed a UFO and a Dial-A-Jet on my YZ490. I did not have an EGT on it before, but wish I did. The plug is white and it is still rich. Throttle response is great, but fuel consumption is bad and it eats spark plugs. It has been a hassle, but this bike was known for being screwy to jet.

One of the first things I did when I bought my Drakart was to install a dual EGT (twin cylinder). One carb uses a jet one size larger than the other.
