I was just doing some jet changes on my '01 Scram 400 and I noticed that it was quite oily around the area where the intake/reeds attatch to the cylinder. The motor has been running very rich, could this be causing it or should I be looking at some thing else? The only mod is a K&N and the 240 main that I installed was way to rich so I just went back to the 230, which by the way the factory screwed up and put in from the begining a 240.

Is your oil injection line leaking at the reed cage? Also; retighten the reed bolts.
