I've got one and it really RIPS!!! I just finished breaking the
engine in last week. So me and my brother, who has a 99 sport did
a little testing on my 100 yard drag strip. His will run a 6.18
sec. average. His 400 has a pipe, clutch kit, 38mm tmx carb., HPD's
trailporting and billet head. My reed converted TB runs a 6.54 sec.
average. I think it will beat a Blaster. LOL!!!!
It feels like a scrambler but lighter and more nimble handling.
I weight 175 lbs and the front end will easily come off the ground.
Its a totally different machine than the piped/clutch kit version of
the trailblazer.
My thanks and hat goes off to HPD.

Here are some pics of it and my brothers 400.

I'm trying to get a video camera together for some action shots.
The only other pics I have are similar to the one I posted and
some while it was tore down.
The complete Reed conversion kit cost $1379.95 dollars. Most of
the kit is just remove old and bolt on the new. If you have a
shop manual the head removal and re-install will be much easier.
I only had problems with the aluminum carb. spacer/adapter.
It would not allow the carb. to sit in a vertical position. Darrell
offered to make a different one for me. I just used a belt sander
on it and sanded about 1/8" inch off it. HPD's months of testing
sure payed off. This kit will make a BIG difference in
a stock TB or one that already has a pipe/clutch kit installed.
If any if you have rode a piped 400 scrambler this is what this
runs and feels like. I don't know what the top end is. Darrell
told me it will be higher than stock. I don't think its what a
piped 400 top speed is but in a drag race its right with a
piped 400!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
