I may be wrong, but i believe the visco-lock is a full time 4-wheel drive system. That's what makes the sp700 nice is you can drive in 2x4 most of the time then flick the switch and get true 4-wheel drive. I'm not sure, butI believe the Magnum RMK doesn't have the 2x4 option with the visco-lock. Full time 4x4 quads will soon be a thing of the past. Hopefully they will make it in a 2x4 option, because true 4-wheel EBS would be nice.

The Visco-Lok works in 2 wheel drive until the rear wheels spin. It then locks the front without the use of a button. It is automatic and quick. I myself don't care for it, not good for powerslides or donuts.

the visco-loc was installed so the EBS would work on all 4 wheels on steep down hills.
