A friend of mine bought a used 2000 500 scram with the kit already installed in it. He says it doesn't seem to have any more power than a
stock bike.(He owned a stock 99 before he bought the 2000).And in my opinion the Hotseat pipe sounds like crap!!! It has a real hollow tinny sound. It actually doesnt sound much like a four stroke. As far as I'm concerned the bike just makes a lot more noise and has no benefit whatsoever. The pipe looks like something someone made in their garage on a saturday night after drinking a few beer!! It has an oval silencer on the end that looks like it belongs on a Dodge K-car and not a high performance bike!!

Its very close to the setup for the SP500HO. The pipe is on the loud side with a little mid range power boost. The clutch kit is very aggressive and cost 2-3 mph on my Sportsman but gives great launches. The fit of the pipe was poor for me but you get a different header/muffler mount so it may be better on the Scrambler. If I were you I would get a disk type(IDS2)muffler and do a little research on the clutching and do it yourself. Good luck

I'm in the process of bringing my baby back to life(2k 4X4 scram. 500),after a coolant hose meltdown caused her to overheat.Oil was so hot it melted dipstick completely off, along with head gasket. She's at the machine shop getting a wiseco piston(.20),and a complete supertrapp IDS2 exhaust system. It should be ready in week. I'll let everyone know how it turns out.Good luck!!

I would get a White Bros pipe for the scrambler.
