Okay, I posted this in under the software topic and got 2 replys, then the moderators decided to remove the post before i could even read the relpys. So i'll try it again here. I was on the "snowest.com" forum the other day at work and noticed they used the same forum software used here. Only the users there can use a jpg of their sled for their user icon.
I was wondering how many other people here would be interested in this, and why it is not an option for this forum?
The replies i did not get to see were from OhioScrambler, and lonestarbanshee.

 

I think it has a lot to do with bandwidth. Some people do not know enough to keep the icon small. And with 20,000 plus members, that could really drag the board down.

 

i like the idea too, but those kind of forums usually take forever to load

 

I never considered bandwidth, and their forum has less than 1 fourth the number of users. So I can see where they can get away with it, and still load as fast as this forum. As it is there are still times when this forum can be too slow to tolerate.lol
