Which pipe/clutch kit to get for my Sc500?
#1
Which pipe/clutch combo would be best to get for a Scrambler 500? I heard of people who swear by HPd, and just want to know how all the HPd customers feel about their purchase. So far I'm leaning toward HPd. I was wondering how Ritter's pipes/clutch kits are also. If anyone has experiece with these products please let me know your comments, complaints, and opinions on them.

I have heard a lot of good things about a "roller clutch" set-up that eliminates the little finger weights and is supposed give you pretty much instant throttle response. Hot Seat sells some nice set ups. I rode a 2000 Scrambler 400 2x4 with the full Hot Seat kit (reeds, piped, 10" extended swing arm (that will still rise to the occasion) plus more. It was a nice machine!! It is hard for someone who is used to riding 4 stroke machines to jump on a two stroke cackler'. Don't get me wrong, but they are LOUD. I have a 2000 Scrambler 4x4 and I am pretty seriously considering the roller clutch. You will still have to buy a clutch kit but if you buy them together they will give you a price break.
