In Iowa we just got our first real snow fall of the year and I can't even get out of the barn because my trottle is frozen shut and I can't give the engine enough throttle to stay running. I need some help what can i do to fix this problem? Or is there a part that I'm going to need to replace.

Mine was freezing up too and I found some water in the connector box that connects the one cable to the two. The top will snap off it and use a blow gun to get all the water out of it.Then use a cable luber and squirt some graphite cable lube down the cable from the throttle box down.

That's a problem we see every winter in PA. Some times you can thaw it in a heated garage and use a cable luber and some times you just have to replace the cable. $59.95 at your dealer. If you run in water this will happen sooner or later.

I am not sure on the setup on the 300s, but usually the first place a 400 Xpress will freeze up is either the junction where the one cable joins into two, or else in the oil injector pump. If it is in the injector pump, often taking the cover off, letting it thaw & dry out good, and dousing everything with WD-40 will keep you going. Be sure to silicone the cover back on, and around the cable where it comes in, to keep moisture from getting back in.
If it is frozen IN the cable somewhere, it will usually take a new cable.

I reported I was having the same problem 3 years ago & almost killed myself when it stuck wide open & I almost hit my house. Anyway, I continued to have the problem even if it was dry, clean lubed, unlubed etc, it didn't matter. Ever since I went w/ the single throttle cable from HPD since I eliminated the oil injection, the problem never came backagain. It's been perfectly fine for 3 PA winters & last winter we even road on the coldest day of the winter which was like about 5*F thru a partially frozen marsh. We kept breaking thru the ice so you had to keep it pinned to keep your speed up or you'll break thru & get stuck in the deep mud/water. Needless to say we were soaked. My friends Hondas brakes were frozen & eventually 1 wheel would not turn due to the ice build up. But even w/ all that water, no frozen throttle. Thank goodness for Gore-Tex, I was dry & warm w/ ice all over me.
