I have a warn 2000 that I would like to upgrade to 2500lbs. capacity. If you have any suggestions I could use them.

I have heard of guys just upgrading the wiring, going to off the shelf 6 guage cables and accomplishing the same thing. Can the 2000 selenoid handle the amps? How neccessary is the industrial contactor? If you are going to use the old rotary switch, do you need to upgrade to the new contactor?

$200 is a lot of cash for an extra 500lbs of tugging power. If you have installed one of these kits and can give us some of the pros and cons that you have experienced, we would appreciate it.
