I too am waiting for this to turn to a bash Polaris topic because how dare an American built 4 wheeler be better than Japanese that is unthinkable. Were is all the Kawasaki 650 lovers and the Yamaha Grizzly lovers to tell us what crap Polaris is? It seems they show up on every other Polaris topic to bash Polaris so why not this topic?

MAN you guys are killing me! Now I have to trade my HO on a new one and buy a 700 as well!
I think I will be patient. I might just buy another HO, and look at trading the '01 when the 700 gets it's major revisions.
That Grizz is still tempting...
The Big DOG 500 mentioned, I ASSUME is their 500SP?

how cool it is that there are not 1, not 2, not 3 but 4 big dogs out there that can run through the chit without walking away from anyone else!!! hell guys, i am just happy to own one of them!!! as for the grizzly boiling gas??? i plow all winter long, including contracting it. and a good day, i can plow 25 homes, all with my grizzly, and have NEVER seen the gas boil!!! i also run a hill in a town called mio, and it is a pritty big hill. i have been up and down it 50 times, without seeing the gas boil, and in 95 degree heat! if someone is having this problem, then i think it is only on the first models.
i am highly impressed with the new 700 polaris too. i chose the grizzly couse it had everything i wanted in a 4x4 quad. if not the grizzly, then it would have been the sportsman 700. i just thought the weight would have been too much the way i try to jump them.
has anyone jumped the new 700??? if you have, then how high? how far? was it alot smoother than the 500 ho? i found the weight of the 500 way too heavy to get over 4 or 5 ft in the air. maybe the tighter suspencion on the new 700 helps that out alot. all in all, how can anyone truly crap on any of these quads? what one lacks, it gains in another area. ride hard, stay on it, and try to keep most of the tires under you!!!

I think you know every brand has their loyal group of "my quads better 'n yours" bashers, and the Polaris forum certainly isn't exempt from that.
There isn't a nickles worth of difference between the Grizz and the SP700. For the most part it boils down to personal preference and, hopefully, dealer support. The biggest difference between them all is the suspension, SP & Grizz with the IRS and the Prairie with the swing arm. I do ride a SP700 quite a bit, and ride with it even more. It's a very nice machine, and would be my second choice for the Big Bore IRS Quads.
I haven't got the DW rag yet, and I've been looking for it 'bout every other day. All I can say is congrats to the SP700. I would have figured it to be the SP700 or the Grizzly to win that competition.
P.S. You're buddy really should get his quad into the dealer. It's apparent that gas boiling isn't right, especially when only doing what he does before it starts to boil.

As far as the drag racing goes if they were running 200yd or better the Quest650 won that for sure. And anything shorter than that comes down to which bike got off the line the best. None of these bikes can overcome a holeshot. Been proven time and time again. I have a stock 650 KAW, Friend has a 660 New pipe, and other mods, Brother-in-law has SP700 Bigger carb& clutch mods, everytime we get together we put them through the paces.
