am installing a 38mm carb,D+N, porting the head and manifold, modifying stock exhaust so can run pulls and will be using healclickers in clutch. wondering what anyone has found with the 700sp for other hop ups that you cant see. may plane head have to measure squish to make sure first. has anyone reground the factory cams yet. anyway to get the factory tach to work other than neutral. havent tried to by pass yet. any info will help. havent been in here for a while (sledin) thanks in advance.

I have been going down this road with my 700, using all AAEN parts.
The only problem I have had is with the carb. I have a lean spot at the very bottom that according to Oliv(SP) they cant get out either.
I have tried everything!!! No jetting combo seems to work. Also, watch your carb adapter---I have had 2 to split!
With the big carb though the bikes flows a LOT more air!! Even at idle there is a BIG difference.

Their muffler is good but I think it is more noise than anything---JMHO. I have heard rumors of a Big Gun pipe soon!!!

As far as the clutch, their kit works very well and I also am using their roller secondary as well.

I talked to FST and the word from them is that what we have in the stock bottom end is about all you are gonna get. He said the cylinders were to close together for boring and the crank could not be stroked.
He said that they were gonna work on the heads to see if they could get more flow out of them, b/c if you have ever seen them they are SMALL!!
Anyone checked on the sled bottom ends to see what it would take to get them in the ATV???

Please keep me posted on what you find on the head and cam work!!!! Also, the bypass for the tach---this is something they should have givin us from the factory!!!

HTH!!!

cant run aftermarket exhaust in pulls so gona gut the factory and bend a longer head pipe with factory heat shields.
carb jetting prob. sounds like your clutch kit is loading the motor more than a stock setup in the carb can take care of. see this alot in sleds with either drag setups or gutted air boxes. not getting enough fuel trough your pilot curcit. try bigger pilot and go to a needle with a smaller upper shaft this should get more fuel so it wont lean . this will cure lean at1/8 - 1/4throtle. if it is a just off idle problem 0 -1/8 you may need a different throttle valve to cure this. what are the jetting specs for the carb you have? as i have not bought it yet, am trying to get them to just sell me the jet parts so i can use the two i have already and not have to start from scratch. cant believe they used a 34mm carb on that big motor. going to try the aen clutch kit too for the money 50 bucks its worth a try. then trying my clickers in it.
